Tankoa Yachts, the Italian shipyard, unveiled a striking 52-meter superyacht with a sleek gunmetal grey hull at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. The S520 yacht’s exterior, designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, builds on the success of its 50-meter predecessor, yet presents a unique character. Its distinctive wheelhouse glazing and sleek, downward-sloping profile create a dynamic, sporty aesthetic on the water.
Designer Francesco Paszkowski explains more: “The new Tankoa 520 stands out for her outdoor space, an area which has recently become a top priority for yacht owners who like to enjoy open-air spaces in many moments of the day. For our latest design for Tankoa we created a longer and more functional flybridge, designed a completely different stern – where the main deck, swim platform, and beach club are seamlessly connected – and integrated functional elements into the design.”
Compared to the S501, the S520 boasts a substantial increase in outdoor living areas, including a sprawling sun deck with an infinity pool, a more spacious upper deck skylounge, and an extended flybridge, reflecting the evolving preferences of modern yacht owners and prioritizing enhanced onboard usability.
The interior, a seamless collaboration between Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini, reflects their successful work on the 58.5-meter Tankoa Diamond Binta, delivered last year. The main deck living and dining areas are subtly divided by panels, maintaining a seamless flow. With a bedroom, study, lounge, walk-in closet, and vanity area, the owner’s suite strikes a balance between cohesiveness and individual areas. While a sophisticated grey palette seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor spaces, soft, rounded forms and continuous materials further accentuate the harmonious design.

BOAT International reports that Tankoa Yachts is busy with nine superyacht projects currently on order or under construction. The biggest of the lot? A 56-metre yacht commissioned by a “young American couple.”
