Riva 112’ Dolcevita Super: Redefining Luxury Life on the Water

Riva, the Italian yard in the Ferretti Group’s prestigious portfolio, has lifted the curtain on the Riva 112′ Dolcevita Super, an evolution of the widely praised Riva 110′ Dolcevita. Launched in July from the La Spezia shipyard, renowned for crafting 70–130‑foot yachts, the 34.4‑metre flybridge yacht debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival with a design that elevates onboard functionality and style.

Longtime Riva partners Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta of Officina Italiana Design created the design, which was carried out in conjunction with the Ferretti Group’s engineering division and the Strategic Product Committee, which Piero Ferrari chaired.

“The Dolcevita design expresses a profound rapport with the sea and nature, a trait highly valued by contemporary owners. Aboard the 112’, that connection is even stronger,” said Mauro Micheli, Chief Designer, and Sergio Beretta, CEO of Officina Italiana Design. “The Dolcevita is a versatile yacht, optimally proportioned to marry functionality with the comfort today’s owners demand at sea—without excess.”

Riva 112′ Dolcevita Super Main Deck & Salon Design

The salon on the main deck, which is more than 50 m², has high ceilings that create a light and comfortable atmosphere. The ceilings are over 2 meters high everywhere and up to 2.25 meters at the highest point. The black hammered leather and glossy lacquer absorb the sunlight from the large glazed side panels, and the decor emphasises glossy rosewood, light carpets, and ceilings for a polished feel.

The inaugural Riva 112′ Dolcevita Super’s lounge features an entrance dining area centred on an Acerbis Int table with a stainless‑steel base and glass top, seating ten on MDF Italia leather chairs. The midship salon comprises three Poltrona Frau sofas (leather frames, fabric cushions) arranged in a horseshoe around a Poliform coffee table to create a cosy, balanced layout.

Quiet Luxury: Lower Deck Guest Cabins and Soundproofing

The lower deck, reserved for guests and crew, presents a practical yet inviting layout with four cabins: two mirror‑image VIPs aft and two forward guest cabins (one with separable and Pullman berths). Each suite features an en‑suite, polished rosewood finishes matching the master, black hammered‑leather accents and a vanity with a Cassina pouffe. Soundproofing has been upgraded to deliver exceptional quiet both underway and at anchor, featuring a strengthened wall separating guest and crew zones and anti‑vibration flooring to reduce impact noise.

The Expansive Beach Club, Sun Deck, and Water Toys Garage

Outdoors, the beach club presents a 35 m² waterside lounge equipped with a versatile boarding ladder for direct sea entry. The fold-out bulwarks expand this space into side terraces, boosting the total area to 59 m². Concealed within a large sun sofa is a garage that accommodates a Williams 565 tender, a Sea-Doo Jet Ski, and two Seabobs.

Performance, Powertrain, and Advanced Stabilization Systems

The Riva 112′ Dolcevita Super is built as a planing yacht with a shallow draft of less than seven feet, making it perfect for cruising in shallow waters. It’s powered by two MTU 16V 2000 engines, each delivering 2,638 horsepower. The M96L version can reach speeds up to 25.5 knots while cruising comfortably at 23 knots.

Without sacrificing accessibility or space, the engine room has been carefully redesigned to accommodate the SCR system. This yacht, which has a GRP hull and superstructure, provides an excellent mix of performance, fuel economy, and opulent comfort. It has sophisticated stabilisation systems to guarantee smooth sailing, and Seakeeper gyroscopes are an optional feature that can be added for even more stability.
