Breitling has a way of making tool watches that do not feel like tools, and the new Chronospace Automatic keeps that streak going. The case is stainless steel with AR-coated sapphire crystal, and the watch is rated water resistant to 200 meters, or 600 feet.
Inside beats the Breitling caliber 23, a Swiss automatic movement with 25 jewels. Nothing flashy, just solid engineering doing its job.
The fun part is choosing. There are four dial colors on offer: Volcano Black, Mariner Blue, Tungsten Gray and Stratus Silver. You can also pick between a rubber strap and a mesh steel bracelet. Four dials times two straps means eight ways to get this wrong, or right, depending on your taste.
