Ferrari California: Redefining Grand Touring Elegance

Italian automaker Ferrari has released the first details about its 2013 California convertible ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The car will be 66 lbs (30 kg) lighter and comes with an upgraded 4.3-liter V8 engine that produces 490 PS (360 kW / 483 hp) and 505 Nm (372 lb-ft) of torque—an increase of 30 PS (22 kW / 30 hp) and 20 Nm (15 lb-ft). Additionally, the California benefits from faster turn-in with smaller steering wheel angles thanks to a new steering box with a 10 percent quicker steering ratio. More details are expected at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
