Mercedes-Benz Unveils Its First Fragrance For Women

Best known for its luxury automobiles, Mercedes-Benz is turning its attention in a new direction, that of women’s fragrance. Created by perfumer Michel Almairac, the scent premiered on October 21, 2012, at the Hotel Majestic Barrière in Cannes.

“For this first Mercedes Benz feminine fragrance, we imagined a chic, elegant, sophisticated woman. A modern woman who is totally in synch with the times and who can be identified with the Mercedes Benz universe.”

Almairac composed fresh opening notes of bergamot and juicy peach, layered into a floral heart of mimosa, then settled with patchouli, white musk, and vanilla for lasting power. Speaking at the event, he described the fragrance as very feminine, sparkling, vivid, and modern. The mimosa adds lightness and radiance, embodying what he called an “open, sparkling personality.”

The glass bottle complements the men’s edition with clean lines and a substantial silver stopper.
