Riva 122′ Mythos: Iconic Brand Launches First Aluminum Mega Yacht

Riva, the prestigious brand of the Ferretti Group, has unveiled the 122′ Mythos, its first mega yacht crafted entirely in lightweight aluminum alloy. Designed by Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design in close collaboration with Advanced Yacht Technology—Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre—and Centro Stile Ferretti Group, the vessel will be produced by CRN shipyard in Ancona.

Measuring 37 metres in length and 7.60 metres in beam, the Riva 122′ Mythos is powered by two MTU 12 V 4000 M 93L engines (preliminary specifications), delivering a maximum speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots.

Andrea Frabetti, Product Development Director of Ferretti Group, states: “Riva 122′ Mythos is the first model of Riva’s mega yachts entirely constructed in lightweight aluminum alloy. This design prioritizes high technology and comfort with top-tier performance. Given current market demands, any project must address fuel consumption and range. This model features a shaft-line propulsion system with propellers engineered for optimal efficiency, complemented by an active stabilization system designed for maximum comfort.”

The expansive main deck cockpit features a generous sun pad and a dining table accommodating up to ten guests. The lower deck houses the owner’s suite and guest cabins amidships, while the crew quarters—including one captain’s cabin and two twin crew cabins—are positioned forward. The sun deck, accessed via an external staircase, offers a Jacuzzi swimming pool surrounded by spacious sun-bathing seating, a dining area, and a foldable table.
