You would not guess Benjamin Blanchard’s day job from this bike. He is a graphic designer in France, 27 years old, and he built this Triumph Speed Racer in his own workshop at home. No big budget, no fancy garage. Just him, a Speed Triple donor bike and about a year of his life.
The project took 12 months from start to finish. Blanchard runs Impoz Design and this is what happens when a designer gets hold of a wrench. He swapped the bodywork for carbon-fiber, fitted LED lighting and sprayed everything in matte black. The bike looks mean without trying too hard, which is harder to pull off than it sounds.
Custom builds like this usually come out of established shops with teams and sponsors. This one came out of a homemade workshop. That is probably the most interesting thing about it.
