Italian design house Zagato marks Aston Martin’s 100th Anniversary with a pair of special one-off models based on the DBS and DB9. Designed with an iconic ‘double bubble’ roof, reminiscent of Zagato’s 1950s heritage, each model was created for a discerning collector: the DBS Coupé Zagato Centennial for a prominent Japanese entrepreneur, and the DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial for renowned American car collector Peter Read, a longtime Aston Martin enthusiast.

“Redesigning the DBS was a difficult job,” explains Norihiko Harada, Zagato’s Chief Designer. “The DBS is already one of the most beautiful modern sports cars around. Our challenge was to bring sporty styling together with a more Mediterranean luxury GT feel, all with typical Zagato quality.”

Both models are expected to make their public debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this year.
