Jaguar has joined forces with French luggage label Moynat to produce a custom-fitted trunk for the Jaguar F-TYPE roadster. The project took an astounding 900 man-hours to complete and was created to celebrate the opening of Moynat’s first boutique outside Paris, in London.
“It was a pleasure to collaborate with Jaguar to create this piece. Our brands share a commitment to beautiful design combined with quality and functionality – qualities which are espoused in this bespoke trunk.” – commented Moynat’s artistic director, Ramesh Nair.
The structure is hand-molded from eight layers of wood, then covered in vegetable-dyed leather in slate grey to match the car’s body and lined in mandarin orange, Moynat’s signature colour. According to Jaguar, the trunk houses an electric scooter for use in urban areas.
