Miu Miu goes 60s. In front of Steven Meisel’s lens, actress Stacy Martin appears as a modern-day Warholian superstar for Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2014 campaign. Shot in black and white, the young actress from Lars von Trier’s controversial film Nymphomaniac poses in transparent plastic, quilted nylon, plush coats and knitwear while channeling multiple feminine personas.
Meisel’s touch is all over this era of campaigns. He also photographed Lanvin’s Fall/Winter 2013 menswear campaign, featuring six men discussing love, style and what defines the Lanvin man. Seeing his work for Miu Miu and Lanvin side by side, you get a sense of how versatile the man behind the lens really is.
