Inspired by the 1930s vintage style, Italian car design firm Pininfarina has designed a limited edition luxury bike for Fuoriserie. Manufactured by 43 Milano in a chromed steel body, adorned by a walnut briar-root coating, the cycle features LED lighting and a phone charger powered through the dynamo. The handlebars and saddle feature an interlaced leather design used in Lancia Astura Bocca interiors, a car designed by Pininfarina in 1936.
Pininfarina isn’t the only prestigious name to translate its design language into two wheels — a year earlier, Hermès launched its own carbon-frame bicycle, priced at nearly $11,000, proving that the appetite for ultra-premium bikes was already well underway.

“Pininfarina Fuoriserie bike is a true Pininfarina project.” said Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman of Pininfarina Group. “It blends our heritage with innovative solutions, it is elegant and exclusive but also highly functional. It’s a Fuoriserie with an eco-friendly soul.”

Limited to only 30 pieces, referring to the 1930s, in which Pininfarina was founded; the bikes are priced at €6,000 (Approx. $7,491) for simple version and €9,000 (Approx. $11,236) for a custom-made design. Available at Pininfarina’s e-store.
