Hublot Unveils Six New Novelties at Baselworld 2015 Fair

Baselworld, the most highly acclaimed show in the world of watches and jewellery starts tomorow and Hublot set the tone with six amazing new timepieces. We’ve got your first look at these new watches. The first timepiece is the Big Bang Alarm Repeater housed in 45 mm case, available in two version satin-finished, polished titanium or satin-finished, polished 18K King Gold. Inside is the HUB 5003 hand-wound movement with GMT function and an alarm. It comes completed by a structured, ribbed black rubber strap with interchangeable system.

“Several years ago, our objective was for Hublot to the join the ranks of the most prestigious brands by producing almost all new materials and our own movements (including complications) in-house. The Big Bang celebrates its 10th anniversary, and the accomplishment of all these objectives. The new developments for 2015 symbolise this achievement. The Big Bang Alarm Repeater is evidence of this. 2015 also sees the extension of our manufacture and, with it, many new objectives which we have set in terms of innovation, engineering and complications.” – explains Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO.

The second timepiece is the Big Bang Chrono Perpetual Calendar, a beautiful new piece to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Measuring 45 mm in diameter, the Big Bang Chrono Perpetual Calendar is available in Titanium or 18K King Gold, both satin-finished and polished.Inside is the HUB 1270 UNICO movement developed and manufactured by Hublot; automatic chronograph and perpetual calendar (date, day, month, leap years). The piece is paired with a ribbed black rubber strap fitted with an ingenious “One click” attachment system.

The third timepiece is the Big Bang Ferrari Carbon – Housed in a 45 mm case made from titanium or an exclusive King Gold alloy, this timepiece features an exclusive bezel with a heterogeneous look, combining two components which cannot be mixed – carbon and metal. The timepiece is powered by HUB 1241 Unico movement, developed and manufactured in-house by Hublot. The titanium version comes with a black strap and is available in limited edition of 1000 pieces; while the King Gold version with a brown strap is available as a 500-piece limited edition.

The timepiece number four is the new Big Bang Ferrari Speciale available in two versions – black or grey ceramic – each numbering 250 pieces. Constructed on a 45 mm diameter is powered by HUB 1241 Unico movement, developed and manufactured in-house by Hublot, with a 72-hour power reserve. The first Big Bang Ferrari Black Ceramic is adorned with details in Ferrari’s legendary red colour, while the Big Bang Ferrari Grey Ceramic, inspired by the historic NART livery. The novelties are completed by a red or grey livery with “striping” reminiscent of that found on racing cars, and are equipped with the innovative “One click” attachment.

The fifth timepiece is the new Big Bang UNICO Italia Independent, designed in collaboration with the Italian brand.Hosted inside a 45 mm case featuring a brand new material, Texalium, once again, it is powered by HUB 1242 UNICO movement with PVD treatment in black (grey) or anthracite grey (blue), developed and manufactured in-house by Hublot. It comes completed by a grey or blue denim fabric strap with grey or black studs, as typically seen on luxury shoes. Limited edition of 500-piece each of these two versions will be produced. Each watch comes in a customised Italia Independent display case, complete with a pair of Italia Independent sunglasses as a bonus gift.

The last timepiece is the Classic Fusion Enamel Britto, mixing traditional art – “grand feu” enamelling, and contemporary art movements, in the work of Romero Britto. Featuring a 45 mm case it will be produced as a 50-piece limited edition for the ceramic version and a 30-piece limited edition for the platinum version. Inside is the CLASSICO HUB1302 hand-wound movement with 23 jewels, and a power reserve of 90 hours. It is completed by a glossy black alligator leather sewn onto black rubber with black stitching with deployant buckle in black PVD-coated steel or steel with platinum inserts.
