Geneva-based Swiss watch maker MB&F founded by Maximilian Büsser, celebrated a decade of watchmaking in 2015 with a new piece, the HMX — “X” as the Roman numeral for ten. Housed in a sculptural titanium-and-stainless-steel case measuring 46.8 × 44.3 × 20.7 mm, it contains a three-dimensional horological engine composed of a jumping-hour and trailing-minutes module developed in-house by MB&F and driven by a Sellita gear train. The automatic movement features a 22k gold rotor, beats at 28,800 bph (4 Hz), and has a 42-hour power reserve. Available in Lotus Black, British Racing Green, Ferrari Red, and Bugatti Blue, the MB&F HMX was released in a limited edition of four sets of 20 pieces, each priced at $30,000.
