Shelby, Superformance, and Ford have collaborated to unveil a limited-edition series of 20 GT40 Mark II cars, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the GT40’s historic 1-2-3 finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The vehicle will showcase special gold 50th Anniversary Shelby badging, logos, and features. It will be offered in three distinctive color schemes: the Bruce McLaren edition (Black with silver stripes), the Ken Miles edition (Blue with white stripes), and the Dan Gurney edition (Red with white stripes).
“We’re very excited to release this special edition GT40 celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Le Mans victory,” said Superformance CEO, Lance Stander. “Having known Carroll Shelby personally, we know how proud he was of this victory and can’t think of a better way to commemorate it.”
The price for the rolling chassis is $169,995, with the drivetrain and install procedure an estimated $60,000.
