Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille introduced at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show its first wristwatch made with partnership with McLaren Automotive. Designed by McLaren designer Rob Melville and Richard Mille designer Fabrice Namura, the case of the RM 11-03 McLaren Automatic Flyback Chronograph measure 49.94 x 44.50 x 16.15 mm, and is made of Carbon TPT interlaced with orange Quartz TPT, making it extremely resistant. Paying tribute to a colour that is synonymous with McLaren the timepiece features titanium chronograph pushers, McLaren Speedmark logo is incorporated into the rubber strap, while the titanium crown is reproducing true to life the wheel trim of the new McLaren.
Inside the RM 11-03 McLaren features the automatic RMAC3 calibre mechanism, with a flyback chronograph and circa 50-hour power reserve (+/- 10%) depending on the period of time the chronograph is utilised.
“We make watches you can wear for any occasion, just as McLaren creates cars that can be driven on a daily basis. We don’t do watches to put in a safe waiting for the next generation.” — Richard Mille
This timepiece is limited to just 500 pieces and retailing for 180,000 Swiss francs (approx. $190,890 USD). For more info be sure to pay a visit to Richard Mille’s website.
