Bamford Watch Department, the British-based company known for its customizations of high-end watches joined forces once again with Zenith to unveil its latest limited edition, the El Primero Radar. According to the press release, the inspiration comes from the striking red accents of a 1916 Zenith pocket watch Mr George Bamford spotted during a visit to Zenith’s factory in Le Locle. The timepiece comes housed in a 42mm case with a silver matte finish and features a burnt brown dial that darkens as it reaches the edges of the watch.
Inside is the El Primero 400 B, automatic movement beating at 36,000 VpH (5 Hz) with 50 hours of power reserve. It comes completed by a rubber strap embossed with a cordura effect and has red stitching matching the radar counter.
Priced at CHF 7,900 (approx. $7,950USD) the Zenith x Bamford Chronomaster El Primero Radar is a boutique-exclusive limited edition of only 50 pieces. If you want one..you’d better hurry!
