Canadian rapper Drake knows the value of a good sleep, recently made headlines dropping $390,000 on his custom-made mattress. Designed by Ferris Rafauli the “Grand Vividus” is hand crafted from natural materials such as horse hair, wool, flax, and cotton by Hästens, a fifth-generation, family-owned Swedish bed-maker. It took four people 600 hours to make, as it weighs about half a ton. “The bedroom is where I come to decompress from the world at the end of the night and where I open my eyes to seize the day,” Drake told AD. “The bed lets you float …”
Available in Black Shadow, Traditional Blue, Phantom Charcoal & Natural Shale, the luxurious piece comes with premium service – three to five home visits from a Hastens team each year, just to flip the mattress, at no additional cost.
