Richard Mille continues its ventures into creation of new materials with the debut of the RM 11-05 Automatic Flyback Chronograph GMT, made of an innovative material known as cermet. The 50mm case is made from an all-new material exclusive in watchmaking to Richard Mille, grey Cermet – combines the lightness of titanium and the hardness of diamond, its hardness of 2,360 Vickers is almost the same as diamond’s 2,400 Vickers.
Inside is the Richard Mille calibre RMAC3 operating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with 50 hours (+/- 10%) of power reserve.
The skeletonized automatic winding movement, crafted from titanium packs a chronograph with a flyback function, minutes and countdown counters at 9 o’clock, a GMT indication, and an annual calendar.
Limited to just 140 examples, the exclusive timepiece is priced at $215,000 and set for release this month.
