3. Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Aquamarine Dream – $1,495
There’s no question that the Super Sea Wolf is a legend. Designed by Ariel Adams of aBlogtoWatch, the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Aquamarine Dream is a variant of the Super Sea Wolf, a 200 m dive watch modelled on the 1960s original of the same name. Housed in a 40mm steel case with a sapphire crystal, the bezel is fitted with a hardened mineral glass insert, while inside is the COSC-certified STP 3-13 movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz) and a power reserve of just about 44 hours. Priced at $1,495 the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Aquamarine Dream ZO9283 also comes with a comfortable rubber strap that matches the case and dial very nicely.
4. Panerai x Brabus Submersible S Black Ops Edition – $46,200
Back in 2021 German tuning company Brabus unveiled in collaboration with Panerai at the Monaco Yacht Show the Submersible S Brabus Black Ops Edition. Inspired by Brabus’s Shadow Black Ops series of dayboats, the watch comes housed in a 47 mm case made from Panerai’s Carbotech composite material, while Inside is the automatic mechanical P.4001/S caliber with 31 jewels, beating at 28,800 alternations/hour and three-day of power reserve. Limited to just 100 examples the Panerai Submersible S Brabus Black Ops Edition is priced at $46,200.
5. Shinola Sea Creatures Detrola – $450
Turning trash into treasure. Last year Detroit-based watchmaker celebrated World Ocean Day by introducing the Sea Creatures Detrola, a sport watch inspired by critters of the deep sea. For this watch Shinola partnered up with #tide, a company that is reclaiming plastics out of the sea and recycling them into materials for other uses. Housed in a 40mm case made from ocean-bound plastic with a stainless steel core and powered by a high-accuracy quartz movement, which is hand-assembled in Detroit with Swiss and other imported parts. Water-resistant up to 10 ATM, it’s the ideal companion for adventures.
6. Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight – $3,700
This vintage-inspired Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Men’s Watch pays tribute to the brands’ first divers’ watches. Designed for slim wrists and people who like more compact watches, vintage enthusiasts, is it housed in a 39 mm steel case with polished and satin finish and features a black domed dial framed by a unidirectional rotatable steel bezel. 8. Hublot x Samuel Ross Big Bang Tourbillon – $116,000
Hublot unveiled a refreshing take on its Big Bang Tourbillon 45mm in collaboration with British designer Samuel Ross. Limited to just 50 examples, the timepiece features a satin-finish, polished titanium case, paired with a rubber strap in Ross’ signature orange shade, making it a true collector’s piece. It is powered by the remarkable HUB6035 calibre, beating at 3 Hz with a 72-hour power reserve, and a tourbillon at 6 o’clock. Priced at $116,000 the Hublot Big Bang Toubillon Samuel Ross is limited to just 50 examples.
9. Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 42 – $26,950
This year Rolex updated the emblematic sailing timepiece Yacht-Master 42 with a bold new option in 18 ct yellow gold. The 42mm watch features a bidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated bezel made of precious materials, fitted with a Oysterflex elastomer bracelet and equipped with calibre 3235, a new-generation movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Like all Rolex Professional watches, the Yacht-Master42 is the ideal watch for water sports and sailing in particular. Priced at EUR 26,700 (approx. $26,950USD).
10. Doxa SUB 600T Whitepearl – $1,550
Doxa embraced the white colour for the summer of 2022 with a series of Whitepearl watches across its collections. At 40mm, the case diameter of the DOXA SUB 600T remains unchanged, it is made of 316L stainless steel and topped with a sapphire crystal, the case, and thus the movement it protects, is pressure-resistant to 600 meters (nearly 2,000 feet). Inside is the reliable Selitta SW200, which is an automatic Swiss-made movement that ticks at 4 Hz, and has about 38 hours of power reserve.
