Cartier has gone back to its archives for this one. The new Skeleton Pocket Watch Grande Complication takes its cues from the house’s pocket watches of the 1930s and the result is something you will not see on many wrists. Or desks, for that matter. The case is white gold at 59mm with skeletonized Roman numerals cut straight into the dial architecture. Inside beats a Renaud et Papi movement carrying a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar and a monopusher chronograph.
Here is the twist. The watch ships with a stand made of obsidian and rock crystal so you can set it on your desk instead of keeping it in your pocket.
Production is limited to 10 pieces. Cartier has not shared a price and at this level you already know the answer is “if you have to ask”.
