Pre-Basel 2015 – Burberry is introducing a new timepiece, the Britain Icon Check for men limited edition – as part of the brand-new The Britain Icon Check collection designed by Christopher Bailey. Housed in a 45 mm polished and brushed anthracite DLC-treated titanium case, it has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 50 meters. Inside is a modified Swiss manual-wind ETA caliber 2878, with 17 jewels, beating at 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours. The check-shaped skeleton dial has a woven-effect openworked anthracite grid and black hands, providing tantalising glimpses of the mechanical calibre and its Côtes de Genève decoration. The timepiece comes in a limited edition of only 20 pieces. Any takers?
