Few collaborations feel as natural as Riva and Ferrari. One is known for elegant Italian boats, while the other has built its reputation on fast cars. In 1990, the two brands came together to produce the Riva Ferrari 32, a limited run speedboat that later appeared at an RM Sotheby’s auction in Monaco. The partnership produced only 30 Ferrari 32 speedboats. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa, Ferrari’s well known racing red, and has the same sharp, sporty character that made the brand famous. Power comes from two 390 hp V8 Vulcano 400 engines. The pair can push the boat to around 62 mph, or 100 km/h.
The Riva Ferrari 32 appeared in RM Sotheby’s Monaco sale on May 14, 2016. It is an interesting piece for collectors, especially for anyone who enjoys 1990s Ferrari styling beyond the road.
