Inspired by a watch from the 1950s-1960s, Swiss watchmaker Breitling unveiled a technical and elegant uniform for the authentic flight captain’s watch, the Chronoliner Blacksteel. Housed in a black steel case measuring 46mm with a ceramic bezel, it has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and it is water resistant to 100 meters. The same Blacksteel treatment appeared in 2015 on the Superocean Chronograph M2000 Blacksteel, another 46mm case, rated to 2,000 meters. Inside is the Swiss automatic Breitling caliber 24 with 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 46 hours. It is COSC-certified as a chronometer chronograph, and features a chronograph and GMT complications. Completing the ensemble is a black Aero Classic rubber strap with black steel buckle. No word on price. TBA.
