Following the success of 2021’s TAG Heuer Connected x Super Mario Limited Edition, Swiss luxury watchmaker and Nintendo are back this year with two watches that pay homage to the world of Mario Kart and its racing spirit, in the form of a Chronograph and Chronograph Tourbillon.

The first of the two models, TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph is housed in a satin-brushed 44mm stainless steel case with a solid steel caseback, and a checkered texture dial. Around the dial, red accents are present including the chronograph hands, Mario at the nine o’clock, while the date window at the three o’clock has a rotating cast of the recognizable MK items like the banana, star, and Bullett Bill. Inside is the Calibre 16, an automatic chronograph beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vph) with 42-hour of power reserve. TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph (reference CAZ201E.FC6517)has a water resistance of 200m; priced at $4,300 USD and limited to of 3,000 pieces.
The second watch TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph Tourbillon is housed in larger 45mm case made of lightweight grade 5 titanium with brushed and polished accents, while a sapphire crystal caseback reveals the COSC-certified Calibre Heuer 02T movement is on full display, featuring a special engraving of the Mario Kart emblem. The skeletonized black and red dial features at 6 o’clock the star of the show, Mario in his kart, the Spiny Shell and Bullet Bill moving in rhythm with the complication. TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph Tourbillon (reference CAZ5080.FC6517) is limited to just 250 pieces and priced at $25,600USD.
Both of the watches come on a black leather strap with contrasting red stitching and a unique embossed pattern, featuring the same style deployant buckle with Mario’s M logo. Available from October 20th, fore sure these watches won’t last long. Any takers?
