Hermès In the Pocket Only Watch 2015: A Tribute to Heritage and Charity

Hermes In the Pocket Only Watch 2015The Parisian luxury house Hermès reinterpreted its iconic In the Pocket timepiece for the Only Watch 2015 charity auction. Drawing inspiration from the 1912 porte-oignon gifted to Jacqueline Hermès by her father, this 40mm piece features an 18kt rose gold case. Designed for versatility, it can be worn as a traditional pocket watch or converted into a wristwatch using a bespoke, handmade leather holder.

The timepiece maintains a minimalist aesthetic with a clean black dial, white Arabic numerals, and a striking red minute track. At its heart is the Swiss-made Vaucher H1837 automatic caliber—developed by Vaucher, a manufacture jointly owned by Hermès and Parmigiani. This in-house movement boasts 32 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vph, and a 50-hour power reserve. All proceeds from the sale of this unique piece benefit research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Hermès was just one of many prestigious maisons that came together for the cause — Laurent Ferrier’s Galet Square in steel was among the other exceptional pieces created exclusively for the same Only Watch 2015 auction.
